BIOGRAPHY

Apostle of Christ, Apostle M.A. Bamidele was metformin hydrochloride 500 mg born to the family of Mr. & Mrs. Bamidele in 1929 at Ayede- Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He was educated at St. Peters Anglican Primary School, Ayede-Ekiti.  All his other education was acquired through personal efforts. Most of them were done from home.  God graciously granted him the wisdom to pass all the examinations he sat for both local and foreign.    Determined to succeed in life, Apostle Bamidele went into private business at an early stage in his life before enlisting in the Nigeria Police Force Lagos, Nigeria in 1953.  He got married to his wife, Lady Evangelist Bamidele in 1959. She has been an encouragement to him all through.  He was posted to the office Dr Majekodunmi, the Honorable Minister of Health during the first civilian government as his security detail.  He later resigned from the Police Force to become the Personal Assistant to the Minister who is today the Chairman of St Nicholas Hospital in Lagos.    After his service with the Minister, he went into private business again, but the business collapsed in 1969 as a result of the type of reckless life he was living. The Apostle said, “When the hardship became unbearable, I felt I should commit suicide but I was not bold enough to do so”. Early in 1970 Apostle Bamidele left for Ibadan with his family in search of greener pasture until his conversion in 1972. In a dream, God laid his hand on him only for him to wake up a new man, filled with the joy of eternal life in Christ.  From then on everything about him dramatically changed for good. Thereafter, he was baptized with the Holy Spirit.    He then became a member of Christ Healing Church Aladura in Ibadan. Upon his return to Lagos, all the old members of Christ Healing Church had left the church and Apostle Bamidele became instrumental in the effort to put the church back together. On August 28th, the Federal Military Government ordered the demolition of all structures at the beach, and this effectively brought an end to the first generation of the church at the beach. The second generation of the church however emerged in Lagos under the pioneering leadership of Apostle M.A. Bamidele in September 1972. Contact was made with the existing church in Ibadan under the leadership of late Primate Akamo of blessed memory that the new Lagos formation was interested in affiliating with them. Ibadan parish was then designated as the Headquarters of the church with Lagos as a branch. In 1984, due to doctrinal differences, the relationship between Lagos and Ibadan reached a Breaking point and relationship was severed. With Apostle Bamidele as the General Overseer, the church in Lagos continued as a unifying force even after severing relationship with Ibadan under the registered name of Christ Healing Church Aladura. The name was changed and registered as Christ Healing Evangelical Church in 1986 under the leadership of Apostle Bamidele. Baba led the church with vision and strength and the church grew in numbers and strength. Under his leadership, the church acquired a parcel of land on Lagos Ibadan Expressway, for its International Campground as well as a large parcel of ground in Chicago for Overseas Regional Headquarters currently under construction.

In 1990, while on pilgrimage to the Land of Israel, God spoke to him to start a bible college which he did upon his return to Lagos.  Baba once said, “I was nothing financially and academically yet God found in me the reason to divinely instruct me to establish for Him Bible Training College”.  As a great searcher for the truth, he had spent time praying and fasting and studying the word of truth in addition to other writings. In 1990, God made it more glaring to him the need for a school for ministers as a base for spiritual truth.  To actualize this vision, Apostle had to attend theological institutions to familiarize him and prove the possibility of such a vision. He attended International school of Evangelism and All Nation Bible College at Lagos and Benin respectively.  On his return, the Comprehensive Institute of Christian Theology (COINOCT) was established. Today, COINOCT’s products are spread globally lifting Jesus higher as they are privileged to minister.  “One thing that gives me joy is the impact of the College products in my church and other denominations”, said Apostle Bamidele.    Apostle M.A. Bamidele has affected so many lives far and wide.  Today the church has many branches spread across the nations of the world in Nigeria, South Africa and Europe and North America with her International Headquarters and Regional Headquarters based in Lagos and Chicago respectively.    The Bible College has also trained most of the Pastors of the ministry.  Since the Bible College is interdenominational, several churches have benefited from it in terms of manpower development.    The testimonies of the converted and impacted sons and daughters attest to the fact that Apostle Bamidele was a man that will be greatly missed by many.  He was a father of hundreds of thousands of men and women of passion and purpose. Yet he was only blessed with a son who today is a Pastor with a lovely family.   Due to his enormous contributions to Christianity and vast knowledge of God’s word, he was given the following honors, special member, Bible Society of Nigeria; patron of BSN Kosofe Auxiliary. As a result of his steadfastness in serving God, he was given the honor of Chairing the Ministers Spiritual Retreat Group tagged (Takuology) for over 10 years. He was a Grand Patron of Christian Association of Nigeria Kosofe Zone Lagos.    Apostle Bamidele was a man of God at home as well as in the Church.  He set an example of faithfulness and devotion to his family and to his convictions before his church and the entire world.    Apostle Bamidele wrote two books namely: Evangelism the Cutting Edge of the New Millennium; and Testimonies of Lives Changed. He will be remembered for his fatherly disposition, faithfulness, accountability, teachable spirit and a godly leadership he had provided for his ministries, Christ Healing Evangelical Church and Comprehensive Institute of Christian Theology (COINOCT)  Apostle Bamidele has divinely sowed into people’s lives; his works and efforts will be rewarded not only in heaven but posthumously on earth also.    After a brief illness, the amiable Apostle Michael Adeniyi Bamidele finished his assignment on earth and gave up the ghost on the 26th September 2007. Baba was quoted during his recent trip to America while he was preaching as saying “If I die today, I know with all assurance I will make heaven”. Without any doubt, Baba you will be greatly missed here on earth but we shall meet again in heaven.   Adieu! Adieu!! Adieu!!!  Apostle Michael Adeniyi Bamidele is survived by his wife, partner, best friend, and confidant of over 45years – Lady Evangelist Beatrice Ajibike Bamidele, Pastor Michael Ogooluwahan Bamidele, Brothers, Sisters and the entire Church of God worldwide.
